Doctors, friends, and strangers have told me for years that the enormous wallet I keep in my back pocket will cause me back problems. Sometimes I remember to put it in my front pocket but it seems excessively bulky there and more noticeable. Thank goodness it's all about to be a thing of the past. The Funds Transfer Alliance is keeping a very close eye on Near Field Communications (NFC)... Safe, secure, close-range tech talk between your mobile communications device (cell phone, iPad, etc) and a pay device that may or may not include a credit card swiper is less than a year away. In fact, Google's Nexus S phone already has the capability.
